Job Posting: Manager of Compensation

Summary

Our client is seeking a permanent Manager of Compensation who will be a strategic thought leader of the overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the company’s compensation programs. ($125K range) – Enfield area

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of global compensation programs, initiatives and strategies to align total compensation with the company’s philosophy and business objectives
  • Recommend strategies to maintain equity with current compensation trends, legislative requirements and programs and recommend new or improved compensation plans consistent with marketplace practices
  • Prepare and control Reward budgets
  • Identify and drive projects and initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of executive compensation services
  • Review and contribute to the design of Executive Compensation models and practices
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or “out of policy” Reward decisions
  • Work with regional resources to identify and agree on priorities based on business context, local legislation and HR priorities
  • Lead and control activities of the Compensation team

Job Qualifications

  • Depth of knowledge in compensation plan design, theories and common practices and their administration
  • Advanced knowledge of standard and non-traditional job evaluation methodologies, senior and executive compensation, salary structures, merit budget development, organizational design techniques and management and executive short term and long term incentive plan design
  • In-depth exposure to HR disciplines outside of Reward and the broader HR strategy
  • Strong global employment law knowledge
  • Excellent comprehension of industry issues and business trends
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of finance/corporate planning processes and company strategy
  • Expertise in working with Microsoft Excel
  • Global mindset and cultural sensitivity essential
