Chelsea Groton, southeastern Connecticut’s largest community bank, is seeking to hire an outstanding Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources department. This individual will lead our compensation, benefits, and payroll functions and have overall responsibility for compensation administration, analysis, surveys, payroll, and HRIS. Additionally, the position will be responsible for our benefit plans, administration, design, communications, and vendor relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all benefit plans and compensation programs are competitive and compliant with regulations. This position is responsible for analyzing pay structures and benefit plans designs and make recommendations based on market data. Additionally, this individual will supervise the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience in specialized course work/training. An extensive knowledge of payroll systems and pay practices as well as compensation and benefit programs is required. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are required. Also required are strong analytical, technical, organizational, and decision making skills. Prior financial institution experience preferred.
