Our client is hiring a permanent Director of Benefits & HRIS who will set the strategic direction for their employee benefit programs and HRIS functions. This job is located in Western MA and offers a generous relocation package for qualified candidates anywhere in the country.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide vision, leadership, and management of the benefits programs and the HRIS to meet current and future operational needs
- Manage the HRIS function, including data input, data management, reporting, and survey data
- Manage all benefits programs, policies, and procedures for group health/vision/dental coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, sick leave, retirement, leave of absence programs, ADAA accommodations, etc.
- Develop and design group communication efforts for benefit plans
- Counsel employees on an individual basis, respond to employee inquiries/provide guidance in policy interpretation, and help resolve issues
- Investigate current trends, practices and costs and ensure ERISA/applicable regulatory compliance
Lead the Human Resources team on data preparation, analysis, and coordination of employee data and reporting - Responsible for the supervision and development of three staff members
Job Qualifications
- 5 -10 years of direct experience in benefits administration including supervisory experience
- Experience with HRIS systems including implementation, system upgrades and enhancements, and data management
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Employee Benefits Administration, including knowledge of: Medical, Dental, Life, Vision, STD, LTD, FSA, Leave, Defined Contribution and Benefit Plans
Knowledge and familiarity with FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA and ADA - Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal, customer service, time management, and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and able to learn new software programs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification
