Program Summary

Five distinct generations are present in the workplace, each with their own view of the world, aptitudes, experience, career vision and expectations of the employer – employee relationship. In this session, Jean Patterson, SVP and Benefit Strategist from AON will discuss what today’s workforce values and you will learn how to package your benefits to attract and retain talent in this tight labor market and how to create a culture within your organization that will drive high levels of employee engagement and productivity.

Jean Patterson

Jean is a senior vice president in Aon’s Health & Benefits national health care practice, based in our Boston office. Her primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders and carrier representatives. Jean is responsible for assisting clients to develop high-level, multi-year health and benefits strategies and goals, overseeing annual benefit renewals, and serving as the lead consultant on complex or escalated client issues and assignments. She partners with her clients to develop benefit and wellness programs that are market competitive, affordable, and incent employee engagement and behavior change.

Jean has over 20 years’ of health and welfare benefits consulting experience. She has primarily consulted to large, not for profit, self-funded employers in the higher education and health care industries. Prior to joining Aon in 2017, she spent 8 years at NFP, 10 years at Mercer, and 6 years at the Travelers Insurance Company (now United Healthcare).

Jean focuses on advising and executing on her health care client’s business strategies both as a provider and as an employer plan sponsor by identifying data-driven strategic opportunities and driving results. Specifically, she has been instrumental in designing and implementing steerage plans, population health programs, and provider risk-based products for government and commercial payors.
